Postpartum depression (PPD) is a kind of depression that happens after delivery, involving new mothers. It is indicated by emotions of unhappiness, fear, hopelessness, and severe exhaustion, making it challenging to care for the baby and handle everyday activities. Unlike the “baby blues,” which are short-lived and ordinary, Post pregnancy depression can last for weeks or months if left untreated. Signs include mood swings, crankiness, modifications in appetite or sleep, and problems bonding with the baby. The precise reason is unclear, but hormonal changes, anxiety, and lack of help play a part. Therapy may include counselling, medication, and support groups.
